Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law.

Hellooo everyone !

Today, I will address one of the most difficult topics - FINANCES !

Social and cultural factors show that most people wait till they become adults before they start aspiring to financial freedom. The average range is between 25 to 40 years. What if I told you being rich / financially free is first of all a ———— MINDSET. It does not matter what age you are, if you’re mind state is not right you will always be struggling financially.

What do I mean by that? It is simple poor minds = poor pockets.

The way you think will definitely affect your revenue, savings , investment and daily life expenditures.

I will give you two main secrets to take one step towards —————- FINANCIAL INDEPENDENCE

Remember, you don’t have to be rich to apply these rules but you need to maintain these rules to become wealthy.

However let me first, define what it is to be wealthy or what it is not

You have to understand that materials is an external sign of wealth but it is not wealth. Most people want to look like they are rich but they don’t take the steps, time and the right choices to become wealthy. Repeat after me - Huge salary does not mean you are wealthy ! I know it may sound crazy but you can earn a lot of money but you are still poor. Why? poor mindset = poor pockets.

So what is it to be wealthy? When your happiness does not depend on how much you earn / what you possess. When you can afford all what you have and you’re still able to save and mainly invest. When the only debts you have, are investments you made for potential needs ! I will elaborate each of these three main points in a future article !

Are you wondering what are these two secrets ?

1) I love it but I don’t need it !

I am aware most people believe if they love something then they need to have it. Hence they are living their best life ! That is completely False. How many times did you buy an item and by the time you get home, you have no clue of what you bought ? Each time that happens, return the item. You love it but you don’t need it. Another case is when you buy an item, you take the time to keep it and 6 months later , you barely used it twice. Well you loved it but you didn’t need it hence scrub that out of your shopping list ! The most common case is when you feel the strong urge to have something, you buy it but one week later, the urge disappeared, I call them seasonal pockets bugs. Each time you have the strong urge to buy something, just wait, give it couple of weeks and let’s see if your urge is as strong as it used to be!

Finally, you don’t need everything you love. Yes that is the harsh truth! An item can have great properties and utilities but it doesn’t mean you need them! We have so many great doctors that help to cure a lot of diseases however you don’t go to the hospital or pharmacy to buy any medicine. Why? you don’t need it. You love to be healthy but that doesn’t mean you go to the hospital everyday or buy every product you see in the pharmacy. Hence the next time, you want to let a coin slip out of your pocket because of a purchase , ask yourself the question : Do I love it or do I need it?

2) If you are not multipurpose, you are not mine !

You may or may have not heard about this one! Another approach that will help you save money is to learn to buy things you can use for more than two different purpose. Of course, this may not apply on every item you see but you can find items that help you accomplish several tasks. For example instead of buying 5 tools to do 5 things , what of 1 tool that can do 2 things you need , and another tool that can do the 3 other things you need. Unless the five tools cost less than the two tools , there is no point to waste your money.

This approach require time ( to search), if you’re not ready to invest your time , you’re more likely ready to be broke again. Usually when we want something, we love to have it as fast as possible and then we end up broke and the cycle repeats itself. What about not buying the items you love but living the life you need and love ? People unconsciously choose temporal items over their financial freedom. We want to be rich but we are not ready to dig ( search).

Each wedding you went to , you bought a new suit/dress. what about buying 5 good suits/ dresses and just rotate their usage ( instead of buying 10 suits for 10 weddings). Oh no you are too scared about what people will say but not scared of being broke your whole life, struggling financially because you are busy updating your fake rich life. OKAY ! If you use the money you don’t have , that money will end up using you. From master to slave ! Hence , the next time you want to let a coin slip out of your pocket ask yourself the question: Is it multipurpose ? How long and often will I use it? Do I need it? If your answer is no to either of these question, Keep Your Coin !

Be Blessed.
